Chapter 10: Full Circle

Tolu and Daniel moved into a peaceful home. Daniel treated Tolu with love and respect.

He always listened to her and supported her dreams. Together, they planned to open a small business for young girls who couldn’t afford school.

Tolu never forgot where she came from. She still helped her parents and visited them often. Tolu didn’t forget that Morayo’s parents helped they with a job and a place to live when they had nothing, she sent clothes and food to Morayo’s mother sometimes, even though they never asked.

One sunny afternoon, Tolu returned from work and found her mother waiting outside. “Morayo is looking for you,” her mother said softly.

Tolu felt a small ache in her chest.

Later that day, Morayo came to see her. Her clothes were plain, and her eyes were tired. She stood quietly at the door, unsure of what to say.

Tolu opened the door and gave a small smile. “Come in.”

Morayo sat on the edge of the chair, holding her bag tightly. “I came to say sorry,” she whispered.“I was mean. I was proud. And now I have nothing.”

Tolu listened. She remembered all the times Morayo made her cry. But now, she saw someone who was broken… and sorry.

“I forgive you,” Tolu said.

Morayo’s eyes filled with tears. “Thank you,” she said, wiping her face.

Before leaving, Morayo looked around the room. “You turned out better than all of us,” she said.

Tolu didn’t smile. She just nodded and corrected Morayo, “I turned out the way I was meant to be.”

That night, Tolu sat with her husband, watching television. She held his hand and whispered, “I’m grateful.”

Her journey had been hard, but she came out strong. And even though she was once the girl who had nothing. Now, she had everything that truly mattered.
